Ladies watch our medical patrol with some shyness and
curiosity.
Sometimes when I dressed a wound, I told them that they would have
to pay me 20 P’s (piastres) for the bandage.
They would look horrified before realizing that it was a joke.
They enjoyed telling the story to their friends
