This display is dedicated to US Special Forces MSG T Sosniak & PFC R Traster
both killed in Ha Thanh Teamhouse by a direct hit in August 1968
09 Teamhouse
was a 8x4ft “L” shape display, the walls were made out of 8mm plywood with two boxed
timber uprights on the south wall. Windows were cut out and window frames made out of
wood planks. A slated window shutter was made for the east window and a small sheet
corrugated iron was used to block the South window as per original photos. Two small
tables were made out of MDF and timber and a small IKEA chest of drawers was converted
to look like the buffet in the photo. I managed to salvage an old non working electric fan
from work and got a a 60’s glass ash tray and an old tin coffee pot from one of my trip to
France. A friend of mine made the Ha Thanh blue curtains and I composed two back ground
sound tracks, one with 60’s music, AFVN jingles & adverts and the other one with Vietnam
military radio traffic and Morse code transmition of a MOPSUM.
Loaded and ready to go!
